专注于面向生命科学的微操作机器人系统研究,作为项目核心成员研制了“面向生命科学的显微分析与操作仪”,将该仪器应用到克隆猪生产过程,完成了上万例机器人化体细胞克隆全流程,获得世界首批机器人操作的17头克隆猪,在面向生命科学的微操作领域实现世界领先。正在进行空间站科学手套箱微操作子系统的研制,可望成为世界上第一个在太空站进行的机器人化显微操作。
近五年以第一或通讯作者发表SCI论文9篇,主持国家、省部级项目5项,总计经费400余万元,已授权发明专利3项,受理专利20余项,作为核心成员入选2018年中国智能制造十大科技进展,“生物微纳操作与系统研究创新团队”入选2018年天津市特支计划高层次创新团队和天津市重点领域创新团队。

针对人工核移植操作中存在的操作难度大、精度低、重复性差等问题,课题组利用机器人操作精度高,定量化和高重复性的特点, 基于最小拨动力进行自动化细胞拨动,基于最小应变进行卵母细胞朝向选取, 利用注射针轨迹规划减少去核所需胞质量,最后建立了结构化的机器人化细胞核移植操作流程, 减小对细胞发育潜力的伤害,提高细胞核移植操作成功率,最终获得世界首批机器人操作的克隆动物。
二十一世纪被科学界公认为是脑科学的时代。课题组将显微操作机器人技术与脑科学研究的金标准—膜片钳技术相结合, 研发国内首套面向脑科学的机器人化膜片钳系统,在此基础上逐步突破“显示清”、“定位准”、“跟得上”、“动的巧”、“测得真”五大关键技术, 实现单细胞,脑组织和活体动物机器人化膜片钳系统的三级跳,最终将完成面向清醒活体动物脑科学研究的机器人化主动膜片钳系统。
模式动物广泛存在着外观相似、运动机动性强、遮挡频繁等问题,给模式动物群体跟踪提出了极大挑战。 课题组结合传统图像分析和深度学习方法,突破了模式动物的视觉特征提取、多目标个体识别、群体跟踪等技术, 设计并开发了多套自动化模式动物行为学观测系统,实现了斑马鱼成鱼、幼鱼、小鼠等多种典型模式动物的群体跟踪和多种行为分析,受到生物、医药研究者的广泛关注。
